Short Term

Storing wine that you plan to drink within 4-6 months still requires you to follow the same conditions that are required for long term storage.  However, storing your wine in a box, under the stairs or even in your closet is a good short term solution.  As long as the space is of a cool and stable temperature and out of direct sunlight there will be no problems!

The trick with wine is to store it at a stable, ideal temperature, and then to serve it at a temperature which best shows off its personal characteristics.
