Jolian Segell –Winemaker
Born in chilly England, JolianSegell started in the wine industry at a very young age! When on holidays there, he started importing French wine at the age of thirteen, filling his suitcases with cheap plonk. What happened to that wine is not known . . .
Moving overseas, he enjoyed a new culture when he moved to Hong Kong. Learning about other cultures and what they like and dislike was a useful insight for the future . . .
Just like his favourite grape, pinot noir, he craved a moderate climate. Not too hot, not too cold, but just right. He found it in Melbourne, Australia.
It was here that he fell in love with wine. Juicy shiraz, classical cabernet, crisp riesling and decadent chardonnay were just some of the many amazing wines he found here. There seemed to be no variety that Australia couldn't make well.
He decided to make luscious wines from premium grapes in a new and unique style that could be enjoyed by everyone. Now see how delicious these wines are!
